We had a busy weekend with tons of cousin time. Friday night we were at Feldewerd's getting a few things ready for the next day. Saturday was the big yard clean up day at the Feldewerd Farm. It went really really well. The kids stayed at our house with a sitter. The sitter even got everyone to nap! That's quite an accomplishment when the ages range from 7 years to 7 months and they aren't used to being together.
Saturday night we went to Flensburg for a little birthday gathering for Brian. Ben stayed with G & G Bergmann and Jake stayed at Backowski's overnight. He loves it there - the big kids play with him and they have a house full of tractors and other farm equipment. It is paradise for a little boy like Jake.
Sunday was back to work at the Feldewerd house. We got in over our heads on Saturday so we had to finish up on Sunday. It sure looks great now. Everyone was sore and suffering some but it is worth it when you can see the progress.
Sunday evening was devoted to winding down. Everyone needed it!
The next project will be getting our yard in order. My cousin Jen is planning to come out soon and do a bit of landscaping on the one side of our house. We are planning to plant some trees and start a garden! I can't wait to have a garden but I can already hear Curt reminding me about all the weeds!
